A huge thank you to our roar-some Dinosaur Day Fundraisers!
Friday 28th June 2019
Last week we celebrated our annual Dinosaur Day Bake sale, which saw friends, families and colleagues from all over the UK donning their aprons and baking some glorious dinosaur-themed goodies to help us continue our work supporting families with disabled children.
We kicked off the celebrations by holding our own Dinosaur Day Bake Sale at our London Head Office and our Wandsworth Office, raising nearly £200. In the North West, we had Penketh Detachment and the Cheshire Army Cadets holding a fantastic bake sale and some prehistoric-themed fun was also had at Chester Zoo! Our supporter Kate Hurn got creative and even included a Dinosaur bouncy castle to her day!
In the South East, we had Kingswood Day Nursery raising a fantastic £80 from their Dinosaur Day activities, and Victoria McGregor celebrated along with some of her colleagues and children in Staines.
We want to say a big thank you to everyone who took part Dinosaur Day and a massive good luck to all those fundraisers who will be holding their Dinosaur Days later this summer- we simply couldn't do it without you!
If you missed out this year, could you support us with a small donation instead?
Dinosaur Day is inspired by Cameron Mathieson, a boy who had both Cystic Fibrosis and Duchenne's Muscular Dystrophy and sadly passed away when he was five years old after spending three of those years in hospital.
Dinosaur Day helps us continue vital projects like By Your Side. Our parent advisers are based in three UK hospital settings, being there for parents when they most need it with emotional and practical support.
A donation today would help ensure our projects like By Your Side can continue to be a lifeline for thousands more families.
Join our Dinosaur Day next year!
We are already preparing for Dinosaur Day 2020 so if you would like to join our prehistoric fun, make sure you sign up!
We'd love to have you on board!
