New podcast episodes on the coronavirus income support schemes

Thursday 29th October 2020

This autumn the government announced a number of financial support schemes to help workers affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

These include the Job Support Scheme for workers whose hours have been reduced; an expansion on that scheme for workers whose company has closed temporarily; and a self-employment income support scheme for workers who've lost income.

In England, low-income workers who are asked to self-isolate by the NHS Test and Trace Service, and who are unable to work from home during their period of self-isolation and who lose money as a result, can apply to their local authority for a £500 payment.

We've got information about all these schemes on our website, and today we've published new bite size podcast episodes recorded by our benefits expert Derek.
