New podcast on claiming Personal Independence Payment at age 16

Monday 14th May 2018

Listen to our new podcast by one of our helpline advisers, Lesley, explaining what happens when a young person who is on Disability Living Allowance turns 16.

Shortly after their birthday the young person will be invited to make a claim for Personal Independence Payment (PIP), and if they don't do this when asked their DLA payments will stop.

Listen to our podcast above to ensure that you know what you will need to do when your disabled child turns 16 and what the process of moving from DLA to PIP involves.

More detailed information about PIP is available in our detailed guide to Personal Independence Payment and other benefits at 16, free to download from our website.
