Parent carer to give evidence in parliament on support for carers

Tuesday 6th February 2018

Nikki, a parent carer, will be giving evidence today at the work and pensions select committee on their inquiry into support for carers.

The committee of MPs will ask her a series of questions about her experience of juggling being a parent carer and working and about the information and benefits support available to carers. Other carers and the minister for disabled people will also give evidence at the session.

The committee will then make recommendations on all the evidence received, both oral and written.

Contact submitted evidence based on our Caring More Than Most report, which found that parent carers face significant disadvantage compared to other parents and carers.

You can find out more about the inquiry on the government website.
