Wednesday 21st October 2020
The Carers Support Fund will make grants of up to £300 available to unpaid carers struggling with the financial pressures of Covid-19.
In an announcement yesterday, the Deputy Health Minister said the grants will be for a range of essentials, including food, household items such as furniture and white goods, or electronics (e.g. computers) needed to access support services.
The funding support will be provided through Carers Trust Wales who have been working throughout the pandemic to support unpaid carers.
The Carers Support Fund will be available up to 31 March 2021 and more information will soon be available about how to apply on carers.org/wales
