What impact does lack of support have for you?
Friday 12th April 2019
We're proud to chair and be part of the Disabled Children's Partnership (DCP), a coalition of more than 60 charities and parents. We launched the Secret Life of Us campaign to end the growing crisis in health and social care services for disabled children and their families.
As part of the next phase of the campaign, we are asking those with parental responsibility for disabled children and young people (from birth to the age of 25) to tell us about the impact a lack of support has on their ability to care for their children and themselves.
Why we are asking for your views now?
Later this year, the Government will carry out its spending review, which will decide on where public money is spent over the next few years.
We want to make sure the Government prioritises support for disabled children and their families: our research last year found there was a £1.5 billion annual funding gap for health and social care services.
Together with parents, we have been working with government departments to influence their decision. But we need to make a stronger case, to build on the evidence we already have with a stronger parent voice and statistics.
To help us to this, we'd like to ask you to complete the short survey. The survey takes about 10 - 15 minutes to complete.
The deadline is 28 April 2019.
