Children with hemiplegia in school – tips and advice for teachers and others supporting your child

You can now direct your child’s teachers, paediatricians, therapists, learning support assistants and others who support your child to our new webpages on our HemiHelp Hub to help them better understand the needs of children with hemiplegia.

The new webpages we’ve created are aimed at helping professionals working with children with hemiplegia at nursery and school and include:

• Top tips for staff working in early years and primary education settings
• Creating an inclusive school setting
• What to expect from children with hemiplegia
• Emotional and behavioural issues, physical practicalities, eating and mealtimes, communication and play and learning.

Use this with our HemiHelp animation to help introduce hemiplegia to them too.
