Athlete with hemiplegia aims to break world record at the London Marathon 2025 – and raise funds for HemiHelp!

Marcus Boddy from North-West London who recently completed the Paris Marathon in 6 hours, aims shave 25 minutes off of his record time in an attempt to break the current Guinness world record for fastest (CIH) (male) and raise money for HemiHelp next April.

30 year old Marcus has hemiplegia and has reduced mobility on his left side as a result.

Marcus says: “I read about Anthony Bryan and his achievements in the London marathon this year. It made sense to try and break this record again for fastest (CIH) (male) and raise funds for Hemihelp at the same time.

“As a child, we received invaluable support from HemiHelp as a family. HemiHelp is the only place families living with hemiplegia in the UK can get high quality information, advice and support – from diagnosis and treatment to preparing for adulthood.”
