Summer woodland workshops off to brilliant start

Families joined us at Northcliffe Woods in Shipley, near Bradford, last Sunday for the first of our woodland workshop and circus events of the year. It was a brilliant start to the series!
A Future for All is an arts-led project involving Contact bringing together families, theatre and climate partners to create space for parent carers — especially those often left out of climate conversations — to connect, reflect and take action.
The playful and thought-provoking Positive Imaginings circus show sparked curiosity, laughter and reflection. Children joined in the enchanting show and explored the beautiful setting, while parents and carers enjoyed the chance to pause and share the experience together.
At the woodland workshop, children played while adults talked about their hopes for the future — for their children, their communities and the environment. Parent carers talked about advocacy and campaigning, sharing their priorities and the actions they wanted to take to have their voices heard and make change happen.
Parents said the day created a welcoming, inclusive opportunity to connect and spend time outdoors, and families left with practical ideas to turn their hopes into action.
