Giving in memory

Honour the life of someone special to you.

A smiling adult assists a young child wearing headphones, both in casual clothing. The child is wearing denim overalls, and they are holding hands in a bright room with stacked chairs and large windows in the background.

When someone we love dies, we look for ways to honour their life and keep their memory close. We can help you celebrate your loved one while creating hope for families with disabled children.

Create an In Memory tribute page

An In Memory tribute page is a meaningful way to celebrate all the love they shared and how they touched the world around them.

We’ve partnered with MuchLoved to offer our supporters free, personalised online tribute pages. This is a dedicated space for family and friends to come together and share stories, photos and messages, light virtual candles, and reflect on special memories. Your page can be public or private. You can personalise it in a way that captures your loved one’s spirit.

If you choose to include donations to our charity Contact, your tribute becomes a powerful way to continue their legacy.

Every gift made in memory will help our charity to create a fairer future for families and provide expert advice, vital resources, and a listening ear when they need it the most.

You can also use MuchLoved to arrange and share funeral details (see below). Or you can make a one-off donation in memory of your loved one by visiting our donation page.

Fundraise in memory

Take on a fundraising challenge event in-memory of your loved one – find a fundraising event on our website.

Join our annual DinoDay family event, where children across the country take on exciting challenges in the month of June. The inspiration behind the DinoDay Challenge is Cameron Mathieson. Cameron had both Cystic Fibrosis and Duchenne’s Muscular Dystrophy and sadly passed away when he was five years old after spending over two years in hospital.

At that time, children who spent over 12 weeks in hospital lost their Disability Living Allowance. Here at Contact, we supported the Mathieson family’s legal challenge to this unfair rule. With our support the family won their case at the Supreme Court, and since then, no other family with a child who spends long periods in hospital has been denied this essential financial support. Cameron, who was born on 19 June, loved dinosaurs – or as he called them, Dowsers. His favourite Dowser was Troy, a green triceratops!

Donations raised help us campaign to tackle the inequalities that families with disabled children face, like we did for Cameron Mathieson’s family and thousands of others since.
