All Wales support service

We understand that life with a disabled child brings unique challenges, and we’re here to help families in Wales feel valued, supported, confident and informed. Our Parent Adviser and Information Officer offer practical and emotional support to parent carers, whatever disability or additional need your child has, and whether they have a diagnosis or not. We can help families of children and young people up to age 25, so our support continues through the transition to adulthood years.

Information service

Our Information Officer, Zoe, helps with finding services and support groups close to you. Whether you want to find a local parent group, a specialist holiday club, or just want to know what’s happening in your area, Zoe can help. Email her at [email protected].

Listening Ear service

Our Wales Listening Ear service offers 1-1 telephone appointments with our Parent Adviser, Sophie.

Listening Ear is for parents or carers who might be facing challenges and would like someone to talk things through with. Perhaps you’re worried about your child’s behaviour or stressed about finances. Or maybe you just want to speak to someone who will listen and not judge.

We can also provide practical support, helping you plan your next steps, put strategies in place, and signpost you to the right services.

Please note, if you are looking for advice, such as benefit enquiries, our UK-wide helpline also offer a telephone service which may be more suitable.

Making a Listening Ear appointment is simple:  Confirm you are a parent carer below and then select an appointment date and time and complete the form.

Once you book your appointment, Beth from Contact will send you a confirmation email, please check your junk/spam mail folder.
