Contact supports families with disabled children. We understand that life with a disabled child brings unique challenges, and our vision is that families feel valued, are strong, confident and able to make the decisions that are right for them.  We support families whose children and young people are aged 0-25 with or without a diagnosis.

We make the vision real by supporting families with the best possible guidance and information, bringing them together to support each other, campaign with families to improve services, provide volunteering and fundraising opportunities.

Your role

The project Strengthening Support Network for Parent Carers is funded by the National lottery in Wales running until March 2023.

The Information and Networking Coordinator role is line managed by the Wales Manager with guidance from our Wales Parent Steering Group.

The project aims to strengthen existing and new support groups in Swansea, Conwy, Wrexham and Powys and wider across Wales through bilingual e bulletins, newsletters, workshops, webinars, and podcasts.

What we’re looking for

We are looking for someone who is experienced at providing information, with excellent IT and digital skills, through a range of channels. You will have good communication skills and knowledge of the issues and concerns families with disabled children face across Wales. We welcome someone who can communicate in both Welsh and English and has the attributes to work in a small team.
