Eligible families gain an average £6,215 with Contact’s support

Families Contact identified as eligible for financial support gained an average £6,215 last year with our help.

In total in 2025/26, our Family Finances programme helped eligible families claim an estimated £1.18m.

And as a result of our programme:

  • 100% feel better informed about their rights to benefits and grants.
  • 84% feel less isolated.
  • 91% feel more confident.
  • 97% of those affected by Universal Credit better understand how it impacts their household.
  • 100% would recommend Contact’s Family Finances support to others.

How we support families with finances

Our Family Finances support includes our online advice on benefits and money & debt, our freephone helpline team and our interactive webinars and video explainers.
