Families Contact identified as eligible for financial support gained an average £6,215 last year with our help.
In total in 2025/26, our Family Finances programme helped eligible families claim an estimated £1.18m.
And as a result of our programme:
- 100% feel better informed about their rights to benefits and grants.
- 84% feel less isolated.
- 91% feel more confident.
- 97% of those affected by Universal Credit better understand how it impacts their household.
- 100% would recommend Contact’s Family Finances support to others.

How we support families with finances
Our Family Finances support includes our online advice on benefits and money & debt, our freephone helpline team and our interactive webinars and video explainers.
