As a parent carer you probably already know that it costs more to raise a child with additional needs. This means getting the right financial help can make a real difference to you and your family, especially when so many families are facing increased living costs.

Carer’s Allowance is the main benefit for carers. It’s there to help support you care for your child – but it can be confusing to understand.

That’s why we are inviting you to ask our parent advisers any questions you may have about this important benefit at a special Q&A session on Thursday 31 between 10am – 12 noon in our private Facebook group for parent carers.

You can ask our team about:

  • Carer’s Allowance eligibility criteria
  • Claiming Carer’s Allowance
  • How working can affect Carer’s Allowance
  • Making deductions from your earnings calculation

The Q&A will be in a written format (not a live video), so you can pop by at any point between 10am and 12pm to post a question. All questions and answers will be available to read once the session is finished. View previous examples of our Facebook Q&As here.

Can’t make Thursday?
