Support for Scottish families whose children need hospital care

This autumn, our By Your Side Scotland team will be at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow, and Wishaw Hospital in Lanarkshire providing information and support to families whose children need hospital care.
By Your Side is Contact’s hospital-based service for families of children with a disability or additional need up to the age of 25, with or without a diagnosis.
Whether your child is staying in hospital or attending an appointment, our By Your Side Advisers can provide practical information and guidance and help you find support and services. They can also offer a listening ear during what can be a very difficult time. Our service is also available to hospital staff supporting families.
Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow
Come and find Contact’s By Your Side team in the hospital on:
- Thursday 24 September, 10am–2pm
- Thursday 15 October, 10am–2pm
- Thursday 12 November -10am – 2pm
Look out for the Contact stand by the main entrance of the children’s hospital to find our Advisers. There’s no need to make an appointment – just drop by for a chat anytime during the hours above.
University Hospital Wishaw, Lanarkshire
Come and find Contact’s By Your Side team in the hospital on:
- Tuesday 29 September 10am-2pm
- Tuesday 27 October, 10am–2pm
- Tuesday 24 November, 10am–2pm
Again, there’s no need to book an appointment. Come and speak to our team at any time during the drop-in. You can find us in the main entrance – look out for our Contact information stand.
