Date:  Tuesday 4th February 2025
(Timings are anticipated to be 10.00am arrival, 10:30am start and finishing at 4pm with Tea and Cake provided for social networking afterwards.  Timings are subject to change depending on speaker timings and will be confirmed in the finalised agenda.)

Thank you to all of those who put forward venue suggestions which were gratefully appreciated and investigated.  As ever cost is always a factor and plays a key role in the choice of venue, sadly many venues were over our limited budget.

We are finalising our agenda and speakers list as quickly as we can, however we will be welcoming Dame Christine Lenehan, the former director of the Council for Disabled Children and Tom Rees the government’s ‘strategic advisor’ on SEND and Dr Tina Pagett, Ofsted.  A full agenda will be published ASAP prior to the conference, confirming speakers and exact timings.

Due to budgetary constraints the event will not be live streamed, dependent on speakers and agenda items some sessions may be recorded and shared via Contact’s YouTube channel shortly after the conference.

Change Programme Partnership

Alasdaire Duerden, Head of SEND and AP Local Implementation Unit, presented on the Change Programme Partnership (CPP) with a recap on what the CPP is, a reflection on what has been learnt so far and what potentially is going to happen next. Dingley’s Promise support SEND Children with Catherine McLeod MBE, Chief Executive 

Catherine talked about their work supporting SEND children and how some of the children are then able to move onto mainstream settings, the training courses that Dingle’s offer and the impact on SEND EY placements, and an update on the national EY toolkit and module 8 training.  View the recording and download the presentation from the session.

NNPCF Drop in

This was an open session for PCFs to come and speak to the NNPCF and Contact about any issues that they would like to raise.  Contact also joined for a short time to say hello and answer any questions. This session was not recorded.
